| September 23, 2009 - The City of Tomball awarded a new contract for Solid Waste
Collection and Disposal Services to WCA Waste Corporation, which
will become effective October 1, 2009. There have been no changes to
the level of services you are accustomed to, and for all residential
customers and most commercial customers, your rates will be lower!
For Residential Customers
- In order to provide cost effective service, reduce holiday
delays, and minimize the impact to the environment, all
residential garbage collection will occur on MONDAY and THURSDAY
of each week.
- All recycling will be picked on Monday of each week.
- All properly placed heavy trash and brush will be picked on
Thursday of each week.
For Commercial Customers
- Commercial customers will begin using new WCA Waste
Corporation (blue) dumpsters, and Waste management will begin
removing their containers on October 1, 2009.
- If you do not have a new container by October 1, 2009, or do
not have space for both, WCA Waste Corporation will deliver your
new container(s) as soon as Waste Management removes the old
one(s).
