The Tomball Fire Marshal's Office operates as a division of the
Tomball Fire Department. Our mission is to ensure that the
commercial buildings within the City Limits of Tomball are protected
from fire or other hazards. We accomplish this through a proactive
fire inspection program using the ICC - International Fire Code
2006ed, and NFPA 101 – Life Safety Code 2006ed that have been
adopted by the City of Tomball. We also perform a thorough plan
review on new commercial buildings and their applicable fire
suppression and detection systems. Other responsibilities of our
office include origin and cause fire investigations, responding to
complaints, environmental hazards, and assisting the fire department
with public education programs. The Fire Marshal also assists the
Fire Chief as a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. We pride
ourselves in the work we do, making Tomball a safer place to live,
work and play.
